Another VTA meeting on long range transportation plan

VTA has prepared a draft program EIR on the Long Range Transportation Plan and is asking for public input. This plan is more or less a homework document which will allow VTA to obtain state and federal grants for various projects. As such, VTA is doing the minimum necessary on public outreach in a relatively short notice.

Mr. Accountable, due to your significant insider knowledge you must not be so ignorant to think that the only form of outreach for the Long Range Transportation Plan will be this public meeting? Were there really no other efforts made? Maybe people just aren't interested in such a “programmatic” topic.

I couldn't find anything that talks about the Long Range Transportation Plan or the EIR for the LRTP on the web site other than that announcement.

Even if it is routine, other agencies does more to explain what it is ang actually tries to get input. Look at MTC with its RTP and LACMTA down in SoCal.
